CANCELLED Christmas Tree Collection 2020/2021

This weekend we were due to hold our Christmas Tree Collection scheme across our region, collecting over 1,200 trees to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice, as well as recycling the trees to help the environment.

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement regarding the immediate national lockdown that has come into force to help manage the Covid-19 pandemic, we all need to play our part to reduce any unnecessary risks as much as possible.

Sadly, this means that we are simply no longer able to continue with the collection as planned and are left with no other option than to cancel. We understand how disappointing this news is to everyone who supported this fundraising initiative but we really must put the safety of our volunteers, staff and the local community first.

Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising for Salisbury Hospice Charity said:

‘With over 1200 supporters kindly donating to the scheme this year, we are devastated that we have had to cancel. We would like to thank our volunteers and corporate partners for the enormous contribution they have made this year’.

‘We have had an extremely challenging year, with many events and fundraising initiatives cancelled due to the pandemic, this has had an enormous impact on the funds we raise for Salisbury Hospice’.

Our hospice services have remained fully open throughout the pandemic and they will continue providing essential care over the challenging weeks and months ahead.

Donations are vital to continue our hospice services and we are encouraging everyone who supported the scheme to allow us to retain these funds.

However, if supporters wish to request a refund please email or for any other queries, please speak to a member of the Fundraising team by calling 01722 416353.

Your thoughtfulness and continued support during these unprecedented times are so very much appreciated. Thank you.
