Salisbury Hospice Charity revealed as Charity Partner of this Salisbury Half Marathon 2019

September 2019

Salisbury Half Marathon comes to the city streets this year on 29th September

We are delighted to announce that we are teaming up with this year’s Salisbury Half Marathon as one of their charity partners for 2019. The event, taking place on 29th September, is the fourth year that the city has hosted and is run by Immortal Sport.

The flat route comprising two laps has very little elevation change making it popular with both first-timers and those wishing to record a personal best. The route layout also allows spectating friends and family to see the runners on multiple occasions without having to venture too far.

Starting at midday on New Canal, the race allows runners to pass the Cathedral in between the services, minimising disruption. Race day is also the day of The Salisbury Food and Drink Festival, so 29th September should be a memorable day for the city and its residents and visitors.

Race entries are still available through our website at or Organisers are seeking volunteers to assist on race day, to volunteer either visit the race website or email

Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising for Salisbury Hospice Charity said, ‘We are delighted to partner with this year’s Salisbury Half Marathon and its organisers. It’s a fantastic event which will raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice as well as several charitable causes’.

We spoke to Steve Elliott from Immortal Sport about the event:
