Light Up a Life 2019

December 2019

On Sunday 1st December 2019 we held our annual Light up a Life Service. The event which has now been going for well over 20 years is a chance to gather together to remember, reflect and celebrate the lives of those who were so special.

The Mayor of Salisbury, Councilor John Walsh and Mayoress Carrie Walsh attended the ceremony set in the grounds of the hospice itself. Salisbury Community Choir and Hyde Training Band accompanied the congregation with the singing of traditional carols.

During the service, the lights on the Christmas tree outside the hospice were illuminated, with the names of those remembered displayed on the special memories board.

Light up a Life forms a fundamental part of the events calendar for Salisbury Hospice Charity and helps raise funds for the charity who aim to raise £1.5 million each year to keep the hospice service running.
