Go Gordon! Amazing Triathlon completed in Back Garden

April 2020

In challenging times like these, our wonderful supporters continue to surprise us with their incredible ingenuity and determination.

Our incredible supporter Gordon Ashworth came up with the idea to complete. a triathlon in his garden and raise funds for our hospice.

With a run, a cycle and a stint on the rowing machine (instead of a swim) this is such an ingenious way to raise funds in your own home.

Gordon shows us that anything is possible, he completed the triathlon, spending 40 minutes on each discipline and here's some footage of his amazing accomplishment.

He said on his JustGiving page:

As Captain of Upavon golf club, I have chosen Salisbury hospice as my designated charity. The main fundraising day is in jeopardy of going ahead and the hospice will be losing out, not only from this event but others who have had to cancel. In place of this, I have decided to take up a garden triathlon challenge by running, static biking and rowing for 2 hours on Easter Monday from 1000.This may not sound such a challenge but I had a replacement knee 8 months ago and have not run for a long while beforehand.

Gordon shows us that anything is possible, he completed the triathlon and here's some footage of his amazing accomplishment.

Here is some footage of Gordon understanding the triathlon:
