Hospice Hero Keith Miller take's on Epic New Virtual Challenge

May 2020

We've mentioned Keith Miller before. He is one of the most amazing fundraiser ever!

Over the years he has competed Race to the Stones which is a 100-kilometre route along The Ridgeway from the Chilterns to the North Wessex Downs finishing at the stone circle in Avebury, he has also run another 3 ultra marathons for our charity.

Kieth has been taking part in his latest incredible challenge raising vital funds for our hospice, where he picks up the story:

I’ve no real races so what to do? Then this race popped up. It’s a 1000 kilometres virtual race across the State of Tennessee from May 1st to August 31st.

My first aim is to complete 1000 km, then push on for 1000 miles. 1000 km averages out around 5 miles per day, 1000 miles is just over 8.
As always I’d like to raise money for Salisbury Hospice, much needed at this time when raising funds is difficult.
If you would like to donate, then please visit my JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/keith-miller-1000k
And if you do donate before the end of May then please also have a guess at what you think my final mileage will be. The closest guess will receive a £50 Amazon gift voucher. In the first 11 days, I have run 88.94 miles.

This really is pushing Kieth to his absolute limits. We thank you Keith, for all you are doing, a hospice hero in every sense!
