Amazing Community Support from Salisbury Makers Hub

May 2020

A huge thank you to Salisbury Makers Hub. They're a local group who sew.

They recently supplied our clinical team with a range of beautifully handmade pieces including two sets of scrubs for each doctor and a scrub bag alongside masks and ear protectors for our hospice community team.

Ear protectors.

Carol from the hub said

Our volunteers have been happy to support settings such as the Hospice with these items that help them get through each day. We hope that 'the makes' bring a little joy and love as well, we are all thinking of them during these times.'

Some quotes from two of our doctors:

'Thank you for liaising with Carol at “prettyusefulmakes” on behalf of the doctors here at the hospice.

Please express our thanks to her and all the sewers. We are very impressed with the quality of the scrubs we received. Having these available really helps us with maintaining good infection control particularly as we move between the hospice site and visiting patients at home.
Thank them also for the large supply of cloth face masks in the beautiful array of fabrics. Many members of staff were grateful for these which will be useful for wearing in the community.”

Anne Goggin.

Susana Bull added:

“Please say thank you very much. I particularly loved the tiger face mask!!”
