St. Andrew’s Church Fete Community Volunteer

We’re delighted to be returning to the St. Andrew’s Church Fete on Monday 25th August — one of the best-loved traditional village fetes in Wiltshire and Dorset, drawing nearly 2,000 visitors each year. With stunning views over Cranborne Chase, the day features a Classic vehicles, popular Dog Show, on-stop BBQ, beer and cider tent, cream teas, ice creams, and live music plus range of stalls.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This volunteering opportunity would be suitable for up to 2-3 volunteers. The day would include:
Hospice Stand Set-Up
Start by setting up the stand before the show opens.

Putting up a branded Hospice Gazebo (Help will be provided on the day)

Set out tables, display saleable items or tombola prizes

Arrange signage, banners, and information leaflets

Make the stand look welcoming and eye-catching
Running the Hospice Stand
Be the friendly face of the hospice throughout the day.

Chat with visitors and share information about our services

Sell small items or run a fun tombola to raise funds

Keep the stand tidy and engaging, restocking as needed

Encourage people to support and learn about the hospice
Shifts can be flexible – even a couple of hours makes a big difference!
Pack Down
Wrap up the day with a team effort to pack everything away.

Safely box up items and materials

Help return items to vehicles

Ensure the stand area is clean and clear
A great way to finish the day with some laughs and teamwork!
