Nine brave supporters will take to the skies

On September 03, eight brave supporters will take to the skies above Henstridge, which is near Shaftesbury, and on September 09 one very brave supporter will take to the skies above Cirencester… all of them undertaking a Wing Walk to raise funds for the Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Previous Wing Walkers have said:

“This is the most exhilarating thing I have ever done…!”

“The views are breath-taking and you really do feel like you are free as a bird.”

When asked why he was doing it, David said:

“Many of you will know that my late dear wife Jenny (Jennifer) Roycroft had a seven year battle with breast cancer and sadly passed away on 11/2/2010. The Salisbury Hospice became an integral part of Jenny’s care and provided support to my children (Ben and Holly) and I at that tragic time. We will always be eternally grateful for that. It’s time again to give something back to this wonderful organisation.”

“In August 2020, my twin sister Holly passed away after a two year battle with Bowel Cancer. She was just 27 years old.

Throughout her journey she received incredible care from the doctors, nurses and carers at Salisbury Hospice who became an extension of our family. We have so many incredible memories of our time there and will be forever grateful for the care both Holly, and we received.” Sam Beckley
